Lives Forward Project – Westchester County Jail

The Lives Forward Project, an initiative of Mental Health Empowerment Project, Inc., provides persons who are incarcerated at Westchester County Jail with a unique opportunity to pursue dual certification in peer support.

What We Offer

Through Addiction Recovery Coach Training and Adult Peer Support Specialist Training, participants gain the knowledge and skills to support others on their recovery journeys while preparing for meaningful roles in the peer support workforce.

What sets Lives Forward Project apart is its commitment to long-term success. Support doesn’t end at the jail walls – participants receive continued guidance and assistance as they transition back into the community. This includes help completing certification requirements, navigating reentry challenges, and connecting with employment and peer support networks.

The Lives Forward Project is more than a training  – it’s a pathway to personal transformation, professional empowerment, and a stronger, recovery-oriented community.

We are here to help.
