Training and Technical Assistance Center

MHEP’s Training and Technical Assistance Center provides education, consultation, and skill-building opportunities that strengthen peer support, promote trauma-informed care, and drive recovery-oriented systems change. Our work supports individuals in reclaiming their voice, strengthens the peer workforce, and assists organizations and communities in building inclusive environments where all people can thrive.

Who Can Receive Training?

Everyone!

We offer virtual statewide trainings open to the public, as well as in-person public workshops throughout New York State.

We also partner with agencies, groups, and organizations that provide peer support services or are connected to peer support in any capacity. In addition to trainings and workshops, we offer community organizing support for groups and communities seeking to strengthen peer leadership, collective voice, and systems change efforts. This includes organizations and community groups we actively collaborate with, as well as those that reach out to us to explore partnership opportunities.

Some requests may fall outside our usual scope or involve the development of new training materials for ongoing use. In these cases, we work closely with leadership to ensure alignment with recovery-based values and the vision of the program, organization, or community.

If you’re unsure whether your organization, group, or idea is a good fit, we encourage you to reach out—we’re always happy to explore possibilities together.

We are here to help.
